Best NVIDIA RTX 3090 Gaming PC Desktops (Prebuilt & DIY
Build)
If you’re looking for a new extreme gaming desktop PC,
in this guide, we’ve covered a handful of the best RTX 3090 gaming PCs
currently on the market.
While it has been
difficult to find NVIDIA’s new RTX
3090 GPUs in stock anywhere, one way you can get a new RTX 3090 is to
just buy a prebuilt
gaming PC or get a custom
PC that has one in it.
Since NVIDIA has deals with prebuilt PC companies to sell them a
certain number of cards before releasing their stock, there are quite a few
gaming desktops currently available that have an RTX 3090 in them and come with
a reasonable price tag. So, if you’re looking for an entirely new system and
you don’t want to wait around for an RTX 3090 to become available—or, you don’t
want to pay a premium for an RTX 3090 on its own—
If you’re looking for a high-end RTX 3090 gaming PC that comes with
a ton of memory and plenty of storage, then the CUK Mantis is worth checking
out.
Along with the monstrous RTX 3090, the CUK Mantis comes with an
Intel Core i9-12900KF, 64GB of DDR4 memory, a 1TB SSD, a secondary 2TB hard
drive, and a Gold-rated 850-watt power supply. The system also comes with six
green LED fans, an AIO cooler, and a tempered
glass PC case.
Another RTX 3090 gaming PC from CUK (Computer Upgrade
King), the Continuum Micro offers essentially the same core components as the
Mantis, except that it comes in a smaller micro-ATX
case. So, if you’re looking for a smaller form-factor option, the Continuum
might make more sense for you.
It comes with an Intel Core i9-11900KF processor, 64GB of DDR4
RAM, a 1TB SSD, a secondary 2TB HDD, a 850-watt power supply, and an AIO liquid
cooler.
Although the Sky tech Prism II is currently the cheapest RTX 3090
desktop
you can buy, it is no slouch. And, in fact, if your main purpose for your new
system is gaming, the Prism II might just be the best option on this list.
With an AMD Ryzen 9 5800X processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD,
this PC has everything a hardcore gamer could need. The combination of the
Ryzen 9 5800X and the RTX 3090 are more than powerful enough to max out any
game you throw at it, even on a 4K gaming
monitor.
So, if you don’t want to spend the extra money on additional RAM
or extra storage space (which can easily be added later) and/or you don’t need
the extra processing power (the Ryzen 9 3900X is still extremely powerful),
then the Skytech Prism II is definitely worth checking out.
While at the time of writing this guide, you can’t technically
build an RTX 3090 PC right now due to extremely limited stock, if you are lucky
enough to get your hands on an RTX 3090 graphics card, building your own system
is a smart way to go.
With this build, and an assumed cost of ~$2,500 for an RTX 3090
graphics card, we’ve shown you how you can build a very powerful RTX 3090
gaming desktop for a little over $3,500. That’s nearly ~$300 less than the next
cheapest option on this list. And, of course, everything in this part list is
customizable.
For this build, we went with an Intel Core i7-12700K CPU, 32GB
of RAM, a 1TB SSD, an 850-watt power supply, a 240mm AIO
cooler, and a tempered glass full tower case.
So, the bottom line is that, if you’re willing to build
your own high-end gaming PC and you can find an RTX 3090 graphics card
for sale, building your own system can save you a lot of money without you
having to sacrifice very much performance.
